A reminder of my mother
A reminder of my mother
Marso 17 2025
When I was younger, my mom would often order pizza for various occasions, especially for my birthdays. She would always choose different flavors, but as a child, I was quite a selective eater, and the flavor I eagerly awaited was cheese pizza; I would even swap slices with my cousins to get more of the cheese pizza. Back then, it didn’t really concern me whether a pizza was part of my birthday celebration until I realized it had become my favorite food. I enjoy the sensation of warm cheese pizza melting in my mouth; I love savoring its warm, soft, and perfectly cooked crust to the extent that I can't help but smile with every single bite.
The beloved cheese pizza has origins that date back to ancient history, but the contemporary version of this classic meal can be traced to 1889. On December 10 of that year, Raffaele Esposito created the first recorded pizza with a tomato base and mozzarella cheese in Naples, Italy.
To prepare a cheese pizza, you will need pizza dough, tomato sauce, and your
cheese of choice, with mozzarella being a favored option for its melting
properties, along with optional herbs or spices.
Here is the process for making cheese pizza:
1. On a surface lightly dusted with flour, stretch the dough
into a 12-inch circle and transfer it to a non-stick baking sheet.
2. Spread the pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch
border around the edge.
3. Top it with mozzarella.
4. Before baking, sprinkle with parmesan and bake for 12 to
14 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
And that's how you can bake a cheese pizza; it may seem challenging, but if you put your heart into it, you can definitely bake it to perfection.
It’s a dish that almost every family member enjoys, so it’s perfect for various occasions, especially for those who are picky eaters. Everyone will happily indulge in this pizza while catching up and discussing each other’s lives.
The moments spent with family, enjoying pizza and wearing a
smile, will forever remain a cherished memory in my life.
